The owner was so attentive and kind and complimentative <3 And most important selection was gorgeous and broad including many different price points (big sale rack when we there). I popped into Althea's in looks for some pretty lingerie and I was taken back with her outstanding service. Not only did she correctly size me to my "true" bra size along with other undergarments, she made me feel so comfortable and confident in my body. Her shop is neatly organized and adorable. My stop there was the best lingerie shopping experience I've ever had. She is an exceptional retail owner and human being- so easy to chat with and very informed about the latest/ classic trends. Althea is absolutely amazing! I went to her for a bra and such for my wedding, and ended up having the time of my life! Althea is so friendly and comfortable to talk to and has a way of melting away the anxiety of getting a new bra. We had probably a 2 hour conversation about just anything and it was wonderful. I recently returned to Althea’s Fine Lingerie after receiving top-notch service there. I needed undergarments for a pantsuit I was wearing for my father’s funeral the next day. During the fitting, she noted that the straps needed to be shortened along with hemming the pants. I shared that I planned to hem the pants but wasn’t skilled enough to tackle the straps, and didn’t think I’d be able to find a tailor to get it done same day. That’s when Althea announced that she does alterations and would get it done for me, even agreeing to come in two hours early so I could change into my outfit and get to the funeral on time. Althea executed the alterations perfectly and for a very reasonable price. The customer service Althea provides is unparalleled and I always prefer to support a small, local, and independently owned business.
